Inspiration

We thought, we should raise awareness about the ecological problems. How do we motivate people for that?

How we built it

We built it with a spice of passion, motivation, and loads of coffee and snacks. We designed the project as a team, attacked the problem statement with the divide and conquer technique. Started off with architecture design, tech stack decision and coded the problem.

What it does

Each donation you make or each noble ecological deed you execute you earn points in this website. Also, you can get alerts from the website about the recent ecological happenings in your radius(configurable) by clicking on the map.- Partially executed.

Challenges we ran into

Less sleep LOL. Difficulty in integrating word press with angular.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We worked as a team of 5 to 2 in the end.

What we learned

We learnt that never loose hope always stay patient and you will achieve your goal in the end.

What's next for PointEco

Developing the functionality of sending out text messages to people through our map functionality to raise awareness about the ecological projects around their area. So next time if your new to hacking for example, and its Earth Day you will be prompted of this event by this web application.
