Inspiration

as students, we constantly try different methods to help with procrastination. whether it be pomodoro, time blocking, or to-do lists. but of course, one size does not fit all so we created a website that included different types of study methods.

What it does

pog is an all in one productivity organizer and study tool. It allows you to keep track of all your commitments and projects so you can plan for success. The "study" feature of the app allows you to create study sessions with periods of focus broken up by short planned breaks, to keep you on track. Statistics give you insights into your habits and accolades keep you motivated. The app also features meditation and mindfulness exercises to keep you in the best possible headspace

How we built it

we used figma to build our project and python for a couple of mini-games. we researched and watched a lot of tutorials along the way!

Challenges we ran into

we didn't get to implement the mini-games we wrote on python onto our prototype because of time crunch and lack of experience. we are looking forward to learning how to incorporate them in the future!

What we learned

we learned how to use figma and their plugins! we have heard of it here and there though none of us have ever used it so we thought we should try it out!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

this was everyone's first time using Figma and we're proud of what we were able to learn ourselves and build in two days. From making a timer to interactives games and buttons, we got to explore a variety of features and functions offered by Figma. Additionally, we are proud of the couple of games we coded in python as it was our first time coding a game.

What's next for pog: productivity organizer for gamers

  1. more in-app games, each with built in timers that will stop the game when break time is over
  2. a study planner tool that allows you to create study objectives (ie tests or exams) and input various things such as priority, estimated hours required and more. The tool would then check those inputs against your current schedule and study preferences to create a personalized recommended study schedule
  3. properly code it into a website or gui!
