Inspiration
We used Pod 3.1.4's portfolio site as a template and added features inspired by common portfolio sites we found on the web.
What it does
It is a portfolio site to display things such as work experience, education, and so on.
How we built it
We used Pod 3.1.4's portfolio site as a template and added more features. The site is built using primarily HTML and SCSS as well as Jekyll. We also injected Javascript inside HTML documents.
Challenges we ran into
There was not much time to collaborate on the project due to the original template portfolio site not having most of its issues resolved until a day before the deadline. Also, there was a major difference in time zones between team members and we did not manage to put together a proper video demo.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Adding a typewriter effect on the home page. We also successfully merged a PR to the original template that added social medial links as a footer.
What we learned
Installing Bundler and successfully hosting the website locally, as well as using Github to send pull requests.
What's next for Pod 3.1.4 Team 4 Portfolio
Add more features and make code cleaner. We also need to work on our collaboration as a team and focus on our coordination.
