Inspiration
VINA was inspired by the issue of patients needing to get through to a medical professional during times of not just emergency but curiosity as well. With this issue in mind we thought of the idea of a 24/7 Nursing Assistant who is there to answer questions about your medical questions, provide you with your medical information, and connect you with your physician.
What it does
VINA allows users to interact with the systems chatbot in order to gain knowledge on their medical questions and connect the patient with his or her physician. VINA also allows for patients to review their medical history
How we built it
Our application is built with a microservice architecture leveraging AWS tools such as SageMaker, Cognito, Lambda, and RDS Postgresql. Using APIs built in Java with a front end interface written with React.js. We implemented Ionic for allowing our code to run smoothly on mobile devices as the application is mobile focused

Finding Datasets that we could use to train our SageMaker AI Dependency management with conflicting npm packages

We were proud to take our first steps into creating a full stack application using AI.
