Inspiration

Accessing healthcare, student opportunities, government services, and daily information often requires multiple apps and websites. PocketBot simplifies this by bringing everything into a single WhatsApp conversation.

What it does

PocketBot is an AI-powered multilingual WhatsApp assistant that provides:

*Medicine reminders *Student Zone (Internships, Jobs, Hackathons & Skill Roadmaps) *Global, Indian & State News *Live Market Prices *Government Services & Emergency Contacts

All through one familiar platform—WhatsApp.

How we built it

Built using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Twilio WhatsApp Sandbox, APScheduler, and deployed on Railway Cloud. The platform integrates multiple APIs and RSS feeds to deliver real-time information.

What we learned

hrough this project, we gained hands-on experience in building cloud-based AI applications, integrating multiple APIs, developing WhatsApp chatbots using FastAPI and Twilio, managing databases with PostgreSQL, and deploying scalable applications on Railway. We also improved our skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and user-centric application design.
