PlugShare

PlugShare is the largest database and most used app for finding electric charging stations. Users can message other users to find charging stations and to ask to unplug one another to best utilize available infrastructure. We use open data from the DOE, the networked EVSE providers and our crowd of users. By combining with our other app GreenCharge (which reads data directly from obdII or canbus) we have the ability for users to publicly share their vehicles SOC and plugin status. This helps people see how long someone will be at a station. Also we let our users share their own home station as a publicly accessibly place to charge. This fills in the edges of the network and connects the community.
