Inspiration

PlowPal was inspired by the need for smarter, more efficient farming. With agriculture facing challenges like climate change, resource scarcity, and the need for higher yields, we wanted to create a solution that provides farmers with personalized, data-driven insights. By using satellite data and AI, PlowPal empowers farmers with tools to make more informed decisions, optimize crop management, and boost sustainability.

What it does

PlowPal is an AI-powered chatbot that provides farmers with personalized agricultural insights based on their land. It analyzes satellite imagery to give detailed information on soil health, moisture levels, weather patterns, and more. With this data, farmers receive tailored recommendations on irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and crop management.

How we built it

We used satellite imagery APIs, integrated AI for data analysis, and designed an intuitive chatbot interface for easy interaction. By processing satellite data, we extract key insights specific to each land plot and deliver them through a user-friendly platform

Challenges we ran into

What's next for PlowPal

We plan to expand our satellite data sources, improve AI recommendations, and introduce additional features such as automated weather alerts, integration with farming equipment, and support for more regions. Our goal is to make precision farming accessible to every farmer, regardless of their tech proficiency.
