Inspiration

The inspiration came from a problem i had myself, where i forgot some movie names that i watched as a kid but still remember the plot and i also saw others had the same problem and i set out to solve it because i did not find an app that readily solves this problem

What it does

plot finder uses natural language, where you describe the plot of a movie and it gives you result of movies that fits the description, this is for people who remembers movies they watched and cant remember the title or for people who just watched a really good movie and want the exact plot and also when watching reels online for movie explainer channel, annoyingly they do not include the title and its hard to find

How we built it

it was mostly built from a prompt with Bolt.new, with Groq for text processing, TMDB for movie posters

Challenges we ran into

making the app a one-shot prompt was the most challenging aspect of the project and also using bolt for the first time was overwhelming because i was not used to the tech stack used

Accomplishments that we're proud of

that i was able to actually develop and deploy an app for the first time ever and something that actually works and i know people would use, the feeling i felt when i saw my project online cannot be expressed in words, i literarily played with it all night.
