Inspiration
In the US, we have a shortage of volunteer EMTs. Even, if we can find an available EMT, it takes them an average of 11 minutes to reach the patient while the average time between a fatal incident and death is 8 minutes. We aim to create a solution to improve these statistics.
What it does
Think of AMBULANT as an UBER for EMTs. The user presses a button when he/she is in distress. The patient gets linked to the nearest EMT immediately with their details. The EMT sets out to the patient's location. Users are able to send data about their health to our operatives which can come in handy if they have to check for certain health conditions.
What's next for AMBULANT
Right now, AMBULANT is just a single-platform prototype handling minor emergencies. We hope to extend it to a multi-platform application handling major emergencies. We also plan to include features like live location and push notifications.
