App Building

Inspiration

For this project, we decided to pick a topic which is relevant to as many people as possible. In a world where short form content is popular, fast food is the go-to for many young adults and children and everything becomes more fast-paced, it is important to slow down and resharpen a lot of very important skills needed in life.

This inspired us to create an app centred around one of the most core skills required for a functioning human in society: Reading

Planning

The entire operation of planning to execution was done in 2 weeks. Despite being a very rushed project we still decided to strive to add as many core features as possible such as

• Reflect on your reading
• Book recommendation based on randomness or highly complex algorithms
• A soothing reading experience by sort of setting up reading as a challenge.

Problems Faced

Time was of the essence and with the deadline two weeks from when we started to build the idea of the app it was a quick race. We also had several technical delays, code bugs and a lot of other drawbacks alongside.

What's Next

With an update we plan to include better features for the app including better UI, more functionality and fewer crashes and/or bugs.
