During an internship, I had to create a website around the theme “home”. I realized my gaming life was split across Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic and Nintendo — a fragmented digital home. That idea became PlayPadHub: one place for all my games, news, and reviews. PlayPadHub centralizes game libraries, manages wishlists, and also provides gaming news, reviews, and community opinions in one hub. Built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Supabase, PostgreSQL, and Vercel, using external APIs for game metadata, platform libraries, and gaming news sources. Handling inconsistent APIs, matching games across platforms, integrating news and reviews, and keeping the UI fast and clean were the main challenges. I learned how to work with multiple APIs, design scalable data, and build a responsive webapp from a simple internship idea.
