Did you know Freddy Mercury, Bob Marley & Mika are all refugees? Journalism using gaming is new & creative way to engage GenZs with their stories. All these games are created using Ai.

Inspiration - working with GenZ. They want something different. Something unique. Something that is theirs. So we decided to co-create a new medium for journalism using Ai based gaming.

What it does - GenZ receives an email in their inbox. They open it. Click on the link which takes them to the micro game hosted on RoseBud Ai. They play the game and learn about the arty refugee - they start by learning some fun facts about the artist. Then the games encourages them to support the artist overcome a challenge. Finally they get to talk to the artist using an Ai chatbot.

Once they have completed the game they can access a back story podcast from the GenZ Citizen Journalist - who receive professional development level training from us - about why they chose this arty refugee to research and write about as well.

They can also access an infographic and a written article about the arty refugee.

Finally, if they like the artist they can also buy gaming art NFT's with exclusive merc as gifts for their friends and family.

How we built it - we used a co design approach from the start. We on boarded GenZs and then supported them through a process - Step 1. Complete professional journalism courses. Step 2. ID arty refugee. Step 3. Conduct Background research. Step 4. story boarding. Step 5. Learn about RoseBud Ai. Step 6.Learn about promoting Step 7. Create Gaming / Visual Assets. Step 8. How to structure the game. Step 9. Use promting to create the game. Step 10. Test the game.

All of this is covered in 40 hours working with the students who want to learn a new skill while still studying.

Challenges we ran into - where to start? How to iterate the process to meet the needs of the students? How to incorporate the user feedback?

Accomplishments that we're proud of - The students we have worked with loved their time with us. Oxford University career services awarded Gold Standard internship host company for 2023 & 2024.

What's next for Play the Stories That Changed the World - we want to co create one large game and embedd all these micro games in it. So one person can learn by playing all these games in one place.
