Inspiration

First I started with an AI RPG app, dipped myself in it for almost 3 weeks, 3rd week I was on a trip with my family to OOTY, an hill station. Figuring which places to try out best food was a big huddle, hundreds of videos, hundreds of whatsapp messages in group chats just to drill down to 4 places. An idea sparked immediately built an MVP with bolt right there. Built an entire application in a week

What it does

Platr is a cool web app that lets you search on place and preferences, it takes top youtube videos and reels to analyse highly recommend, underrated and hidden gem restaurants in your place of interest. No more watching thousands of videos and hundreds of messages. Once our analysis is done and your results page is ready, you can share the page with your friends with shortlisted places. Fun, cool and efficient

The videos appears in the form of instagram stories followed by the restaurant information and a cute map page to actually point those restaurants that we got from the youtube creators

How we built it

I built the entire frontend with bolt. I built the backend myself with youtube apis and intelligent restaurant extraction and classification

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges from the beginning- changing the project last minute based on a calling😅 but it all worked out thanks to bolt.. facing some ip issues on using youtube apis after deployment but there is always a way

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was able to build a complete working prototype for my idea in such a short time. From my first project experience i got to know how to efficiently use bolt. Also my algorithms actually works and the app looks sooo coooool

What we learned

  1. A lot, especially using bolt efficiently and not fighting with it on fixing errors. 2. Development can happen after deployment too😅 was too hell bent on getting a perfect app ## What's next for Platr Win the hackathon and get actual users who will be willing to subscribe Expand it from youtube to other social media as well Expand it from restaurants to complete exploration application
