Inspiration
We were inspired by overcooked and 2d platformers. To make a game that we thought was in our scope.
What it does
The game presents a challenging timed trial platformer that make the user collect and process the necessary ingredients to make a pizza and appease their boss.
How we built it
We built it using Godot as the engine, Aseprite for creating the art, and JSFXR to create sound effects.
Challenges we ran into
Animations, and the general gameplay loop. Our first github repo encountered an error and we had to make a second one for the final product. We uploaded both so that the final result can be seen as well as the changes made up until the error.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making a functioning game within 24 hours as first time game jam participants.
What we learned
We learned lessons about how to optimally code a game, how to finish a project within a short time limit, and the importance of encapsulation.
What's next for Pizzamonium Panic?
There are currently no concrete plans for the future of Pizzamonium Panic, but there is plenty of room for expansion in the future.
