Inspiration
My chemistry class recently teaching me the equation of half life's of decaying elements
What it does
Calculates how much plastic starting from a point (you choose how much plastic at the start) after how many years will stay. Also tells you little details to put in perspective how long it takes for plastic to decay
How we built it
Python
Challenges we ran into
Not many, the project is quite simple. But finding age gap numbers was difficult because to my memory, many important events and technological evolutions happen within relatively close times so its not very interesting showing those at the same time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of using my chemistry knowledge in a computer science project, which i never thought would really happen.
What we learned
I learned python's basics and from the workshops, how 3d printers work and how robotic devices work.
What's next for Plastic Degradation
I think I'll add more time dependent events, and maybe make the plastic's measurements slowly scale into smaller measurements of the same system (Gallons-quarts-ounces)
Built With
- python
- replit
