Using a standard webcam, our system uses computer vision and AI to analyze a plant’s appearance, identify signs of stress, and determine when watering is needed. The AI assistant interacts with users through a chat interface, explains the plant’s condition, and can autonomously trigger a physical watering mechanism. A MacBook serves as the intelligence hub, processing the camera feed and sending commands through USB to an ESP32 microcontroller. The ESP32 controls an RC-based robotic mechanism that activates a spray bottle, creating a low-cost prototype of an intelligent agricultural system. By combining AI perception, conversational interaction, and physical automation, our project demonstrates how future farming systems can become adaptive, responsive, and personalized to individual plant needs.
