Technology as increased our connectivity and led to the rise of social media. Social media can influence people, so why not influence them in a good way? Existing social media comes with many downsides—unrealistic expectations, distraction, bullying, and many more. Yet it continues to be on the rise. Our application combines social media with planting, an unexpected, but innovating combination. The goal is to encourage users to become sustainable and reduce their carbon footprint—they are able to tell the application every time they water their plant, and they also give a daily report on the health of each of their plants. They are rewarded watering points for watering their plants on time. Their average water points and plant health percent are displayed. Track your planting and share it with your friends. Users can connect with their friends by adding them with their username. Through this, they are able to see a leaderboard ranking all their friends, displaying their average water points, plant health score, and number of plants.
Plantify
Plantify tracks your planting and shares it with your friends. It allows you to enter different plants you own and the number of times per week you need to water them.
