Inspiration

I was scrolling my instagram newsfeed and I saw there a youtube celebrity was running a '#onetreechallenge' where his fans have to plant a tree and have to post the selfie with '#onetreechallenge' and the fan will be featured in celebrity's story. He is just a streamer streaming videos on youtube having small family of fan/followers, managed to plant thousands of tree. There are Thousands of Biggest celebrities out there having millions of crazy fan/followers. Unlike the youtubers, They also want to run social campaigns but they don't have enough time to monitor all of these. So what if there's a platform, a mediator, to promote their social activities, to run their own campaign through their craziest fan/followers? So, here we are with the 'Plantera'

What it does

Plantera is a platform where the celebrities will post the challenges or campaigns through the webapp which will be the nature related challenges like plantation (For now we are focused on Plantation as deforestation is the main cause of global warming), for their fan/followers. The fans following the particular celebrity/celebrities will accept the challenge. Then they will keep updating their work for the challenge in the plantera. From his/her updates/post on plantera app about the work, our admins will verify it and will approve to the celebrity. By completing the challenge he/she will get incentive or rewards (for example: signed ball, bat from a cricketer).

How we built it

we have created a web app for celebrities to post the challenges and fan/followers will be using mobile app to get updated about the challenges

Challenges we ran into

The main challenges were the case study and the market place to get to know if our system is sustainable and scalable. Also we happen to build the system within the hackathon period which was so challenging to manage time and to manage team work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A prototype of the system in such a small period of time is such a great accomplishment and the Team Work we learn and managed is also one of the great experience we gain.
