Inspiration: We were inspired by a similar game called Neko Atsume, a popular cat game, and other mental health apps like Sanvello to be able to combine mental health and game, to make it more engaging for people to take care of their own mental health.

What it does: It allows you to tap on different objects and watch as they change or grow into different areas or things.

How we built it: We used android studios and Kotlin to program the App together, and had completely hand drawn characters when building the main page, of different characters, and objects that would be important to the game.

Challenges we ran into: Coding the the different images to have their specific movements was especially difficult to do in Kotlin, as it isn't as common and accessible of a language compared to java. A lot of translating was done from Java to Kotlin to understand and write the code for the game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of : The artwork, and what was done to accomplish the project thus far shows how promising of a game this could be.

What we learned Learned how to use Android Studios in more dynamic ways, and had a better understanding of how Kotlin can be used, and what its limitations are.

What's next for Plant Cat Tap To continue with the app, and be able to publish the app as a playable game for everyone to be able to play.
