Tracks: Ripple challenge, sustainability

Inspiration

We were inspired to create "PlanetPledge" by the urgent need for action on climate change. We wanted to provide a platform that motivates and rewards individuals for practicing sustainable activities that benefit the planet.

What it does

"PlanetPledge" is a platform that tracks sustainable actions and rewards users with NFTs via XRP Ledger. Users can track actions such as reducing their carbon footprint, volunteering for environmental organizations, and using public transport. The platform aims to create a global community of environmentally conscious individuals who are taking action to protect our planet.

How we built it

We built "PlanetPledge" using Bubble.io for the front-end and XRP Ledger for the rewards system. Our aim was to use various APIs and plugins to integrate the different components of the platform and create a seamless user experience.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was integrating the XRP Ledger with the front-end of the platform. We also had to ensure that the rewards system was secure and transparent, and figure out a way to verify that people actually took sustainable actions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have built a functional prototype of "PlanetPledge" within the short timeframe of the hackathon. We also feel proud of creating a platform that encourages and rewards sustainable actions, which we believe can have a positive impact on the environment.

What we learned

During the development of "PlanetPledge", we learned a lot about the XRP Ledger and its potential for creating secure and transparent rewards systems. We also gained valuable experience in developing a complex platform using low-code development tools such as Bubble.io.

What's next for PlanetPledge

Our next steps for "PlanetPledge" are to further refine the platform's user experience and integrate additional sustainable actions that users can track. We also plan to explore partnerships with environmental organizations and businesses to expand the reach and impact of the platform. We also hope to gain access to advanced AI in the future that can truly verify the validity of people carrying out sustainable actions
