Inspiration - As students we became flustered with how difficult it was to gather information regarding courses at UMD and wanted to make a one-stop shop for course registration, planning, and schedule organization for our undergrad.

What it does - This program allows the user to choose a major (note: this is only programmed for the major "Computer Science" but we plan to program it for all majors in the future). Once the user chooses a major, they will then be give their degree requirements, including their major core classes, general education requirements, and electives they can choose to take. Then it will allow the user to drag and drop the classes into the schedule builder so they can create a 4 Year Plan.

How we built it - We built it from scratch through HTML, CSS, and Javascript with over 600 lines of code written in three weeks.

Challenges we ran into - We went through various iterations as we did not have much webdev experience as coders and are new to project production. There were features we were learning to do including drag and drop functionality .

Accomplishments that we're proud of - We were able to learn different concepts quickly in a short amount of time including project planning, production, UI/UX design, visual design, Webdev programming, full-stack development, teamwork and cooperation, etc.

What we learned - We learned how to work in a team and gained project management skills. We also learned time management skills as we had a month to complete this project. We also learned how to use new coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

What's next for PLAN4U - We plan to continue making website iterations, increasing the visual information conveyed, including features like course suggestions based off of interests, professor suggestions including reviews from review site PlanetTerp, and more.
