Inspiration

Legal, medical, academic documents and other specialized contracts are often filled with complex jargon that everyday people struggle to understand. This confusion forces them to rely on professionals for even the simplest matters, leading to unnecessary costs and frustration. That’s why I built Plain Speak: to transform jargon-heavy documents into clear, everyday language anyone can understand

What it does

PlainSpeak transform legal documents, medical reports, financial terms, and technical jargon into clear, understandable language with AI-powered assistance.

How we built it

The app was fully built using the bolt.new platform with Gemini powering the AI capabilities of the app.

Challenges we ran into

  • Setting up authentication flows.
  • Robust Document Processing .
  • Adding Subscription Model to the app (Stripe doesn't work in my country and other options available take almost half a month to onboard)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Building a full stack end to end application without writing a single line of code myself.
