Inspiration

We were inspired by music and AI.

What it does

Our project creates a 25 song playlist based on inputted keywords.

How we built it

We used Next.js to create our full-stack application. Through the three.js library, we created a 3D drum model in our website. In addition, we used OpenAI-API to process user input and generate a 25 song playlist.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into problems with creating OpenAI-API calls. In addition, we ran out of time to include the Spotify-API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of presenting a well-enough product to the judges.

What we learned

We learned that there can be so much that can go wrong when creating and starting a Hackathon project. However, we also learned that through determination and effort, we can overcome the impossible. In addition, we improved our web-programming skills.

What's next for plAIlist

In the future, we hope to implement Spotify-API into our full-stack application so that we can generate playlist directly from plAIlist.

I worked on the back end. It was challenging figuring out how to use the OpenAI API, but felt so relieving once it was implemented. We were going to try to figure out the Spotify API, but ran out of time before having a fully finished product.

I worked on front-end. It was my first time using animations from GSAP.js and React. I learned a lot.

I worked on the back-end implementation. I worked on OpenAI-API to requrest and generate a 25 song playlist for the user. Displayed the api response to the page. Setted up and created the gitHub repo.
