PlacementPro AI

Inspiration

Placement preparation can be overwhelming for students. Most students use different platforms for resume building, interview preparation, skill assessment, and career guidance, making the process fragmented and inefficient. As a student, I noticed that many peers struggled to understand their readiness for placements and lacked personalized feedback on where to improve.

This inspired me to build PlacementPro AI, a unified platform that combines resume analysis, interview preparation, skill-gap identification, and career guidance into a single AI-powered experience.

What it does

PlacementPro AI helps students prepare for internships and job placements by providing:

  • AI-powered resume analysis and ATS scoring
  • Resume improvement suggestions
  • Skill-gap identification
  • Personalized learning and career recommendations
  • Mock interview preparation and evaluation
  • Placement readiness assessment
  • Customized placement roadmaps
  • AI-powered career guidance through a Novus agent

The platform acts as a personal career coach, helping students identify weaknesses and create a clear path toward their target role.

How we built it

We built PlacementPro AI using modern AI-powered development tools and web technologies.

The platform includes:

  • A responsive frontend for an intuitive user experience
  • AI-powered resume analysis and interview evaluation
  • Placement readiness scoring logic
  • Personalized roadmap generation
  • A Novus Nano agent for career assistance and workflow automation

The Novus workflow was designed with multiple stages, including student profile analysis, resume evaluation, skill-gap detection, interview preparation, roadmap generation, and final recommendation assembly.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was creating meaningful AI feedback instead of generic recommendations. We wanted the platform to provide practical insights that students could immediately act upon.

Another challenge was combining multiple placement-related services into a single workflow while keeping the user experience simple and intuitive.

We also faced challenges in designing placement-readiness scoring and ensuring that recommendations remained relevant across different career paths and skill levels.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Successfully built an end-to-end placement preparation platform.
  • Developed AI-powered resume analysis with actionable recommendations.
  • Created an interview preparation and evaluation system.
  • Built a placement readiness assessment framework.
  • Integrated a Novus-powered AI Career Assistant workflow.
  • Designed a complete user journey from resume improvement to career planning.
  • Delivered a working product that students can immediately use.

What we learned

This project taught us that placement preparation is not just about technical skills—it is also about guidance, structure, and continuous feedback.

We learned how to:

  • Build AI-driven workflows for real-world use cases.
  • Design products around genuine student pain points.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate using AI-assisted development tools.
  • Integrate multiple AI capabilities into a unified user experience.

Most importantly, we learned that personalized guidance can significantly improve a student's confidence and career readiness.

What's next for PlacementPro AI

Our vision is to evolve PlacementPro AI into a complete career success platform.

Future improvements include:

  • Voice-based mock interviews
  • Real-time interview simulations
  • Coding interview assessments
  • Company-specific preparation tracks
  • AI-generated cover letters
  • Internship and job recommendation engine
  • Peer-to-peer mock interview sessions
  • Advanced analytics and progress tracking
  • Integration with learning platforms and job portals

Ultimately, we aim to make PlacementPro AI a trusted companion that helps students navigate their entire career journey—from learning and preparation to securing their dream job.
