Little Chef

Inspiration

We all know or are that person that is phenomenally bad at cooking. But sometimes our circumstances in life don't lead us to learn these crucial skills, either we were never given the chance to cook or were not taught very well. This app will help educate and prevent any future cooking disasters.

What it does

Provide information in a neat and organized manner on basic cooking skills. Things that are considered common sense or safety precautions to prevent illness. Overall education is our goal, we hope to supply useful information to the user!

How we built it

Following our brainstorming session we began to work, one of us would work on the front end skills, the another one would work on the backend, and two of use would work on a design prototype. In the end we would all come back together and merge what we had based on the design made in Figma.

Challenges we ran into

We're all complete beginners! At most one of us have done at least one hackathon but other than that we're starting with the bare minimum of programming skills. Not only that the dozens of technical issues that we ran into. Although we weren't able to create the fully working product that we envisioned, we're still proud of what we made!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As of writing we haven't completely given up! We're proud of our flexibility and our ability to persevere through the trials and tribulations.

What we learned

We learned how to use many new frameworks and skills necessary to make it possible to start a hackathon project.

What's next for Little Chef

Although its in an unfinished state we've been able to set down a proper foundation. We've had a chatbot lined up to be integrated in addition to what he had to streamline the user experience. Taking a look at the try it out link will give you a taste of what we had in mind.
