What it does - It takes an SVG of a cow, utilizes Chainlink VRF to randomize color attributes, and mints an NFT of the colorful cow.
How we built it - Patrick has some pretty good tutorials.
Challenges we ran into - Mostly troubleshooting errors and trying to get our tools to work so we can actually build. Time became an issue. Our file got to big and we ended up trying to spend 5.5 million gas in one transaction and because of that, our project failed to mint. Sorry for cropdusting.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - We learned a lot and had fun. We made it to the end and submitted something.
What we learned - To just dive in and learn as you go. Filecoin, SVG's and Chainlink VRF are pretty cool. Everything is a piece of the puzzle and it's our job to try to figure out how they best fit together.
What's next for The Herd? - More learning, more building, definitely Gas-x prescription.
