Hawkling is your personal language learning companion that is invested in you.

Inspiration

Josh: I’m Josh Dong, and I’ve been passionate about language learning since I was a kid when I went to French school, and then later studied abroad in China and Korea. I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of AI and language, building speech foundation models and deploying multi-lingual LLMs. My sister Mona couldn’t make it today but has been essential to our team as the language expert.

Victor: Hi, I’m Victor Yap and I’ve gone through the pain and frustration of not learning fast enough with other language apps. I’ve spent countless hours and yet I still get embarrassed whenever I struggle to speak Chinese with my family or Spanish with my partner’s family.
