Inspiration
We saw many flaws in the popular scheduling app when2meet.
What it does
We wanted to create a more simple and intuitive design for creating events and finding all the best matched times based on users' schedules. By saving premade calendars such as "work calendar" or "class schedule", users could reuse these to match with other users' calendars to highlight the best time to meet up for an event. We also wanted to integrate google calendar to make this more seamless.
How we built it
We used MongoDB, Python (Flask), React, and Bootstrap.
Challenges we ran into
We were struggling to connect all the parts of the project together. We are new to using all these languages and frameworks. So our idea was a bit overwhelming.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the idea we came up with. When2Meet is a very popular meeting scheduling tool but with many flaws.
What we learned
We learned more about these different languages and frameworks and how to connect backend server, frontend server, and a database.
What's next for When4Meet
Actually finishing it at a future hackathon!
