How I built it
I used a combination of many of Claude's offerings like Cowork and Design, as well as the models available on their desktop app. I sourced all of my art from Meta.ai, and made further modification using Google Gemini Nano Banana 2. I used markdown with Obsidian to draft all of my written content.
Challenges I ran into
Many iterations of a design can lead to pushing incomplete thoughts too far. This led to a lot of rewrites through the week.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
While the many iterations made the work challenging, I am proud of the amount of ideas I was able to generate, and the strong sense of collaboration I felt using all the different AI tools.
What I learned
This is my first majority AI design package. Typically, I use Miro heavily for planning out games. I learned how to connect Claude Desktop to Miro using MCPs. I also leverage Figma to be able to compare the different tool speeds. I prefer the speed of Figma, and I hope to use it again in a future project.
What's next for DEADWEIGHT
I plan to continue to use AI tools to bring the game to life.
