What our app is/does: Our app aims to demonstrate that travel is more than just a journey from one destination to another. Rather, it is an opportunity to expand on cultural understanding and celebrate diversity. In a world often divided by differences, we're on a mission to bridge cultural gaps and build wonderful experiences from spaces all over the world, one traveler at a time.

Trouble-shooting: We had a lot of trouble with front-end and backend development but eventually conquered our issues. Some of the front-end development challenges we overcame included formatting issues as well as issues with creating a drop shadow button for the randomization page. In regards to the backend, we had issues with implementing the API key – regardless we successfully integrated OpenAI into our project allowing us to give crucial advice to our users.

What we used to build it: We used react to build our website alongside node.js and the OpenAI APi.

What we learned: We had some team members completely new to coding who learned HTML,CSS, and JS all in the span of 12 hours. All of us were new to node.js and implementing the OpenAI API. We all learned how to collaborate with each other despite our different skill levels and our limited time.

What is next for us: We plan to polish up our website and move on to the next project.
