The problem
Doorbell images capture activity, but organizing and reviewing a visit still requires context and human judgment. DoorMemo explores an owner-controlled visitor journal where identity suggestions remain subject to human review.
What we built
The Android prototype supports local image imports and encrypted records. A separate synthetic review demo walks through a three-person visit, a household member's profile proposal, owner approval, and an audit trail. The linked Android prerelease is a debug test build with cloud services unconfigured.
Nebius and NVIDIA
The hosted synthetic demo sends only a fabricated person count and generic review status to NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Nano through Nebius Token Factory for a neutral summary. It sends no visitor photos, names, or Ring account data. We verified a live hosted model request. To control spending, the demo allows 20 live attempts in total and then displays a clearly labeled recorded result; it also falls back if the model is unavailable. Generated text does not confirm identity or control access.
Testing and limits
Five targeted Android device tests passed on a Samsung tablet, including bundled face-model inference, a synthetic encrypted-record/export flow, and owner-gate and timeline checks. The hosted event is simulated. The real Ring connection, live event delivery, and end-to-end alerts have not been verified. The public Android test build and hosted Nebius preview are separate components.
