Inspiration
A passion for creating an online cooking community that can connect home cooks on a local and global level.
What it does
Allows the average cook to create a network of fellow chefs and food enthusiasts who can share their traditions and talents through recipes.
How I built it
We split up the various tasks of creating a aesthetically pleasing UI and functional backend among our team members. We utilized Android Studio and xml files to create the front end, and Java as well as Google Firebase to create the back end.
Challenges I ran into
We ran into a lot of null pointers due to incorrect database parsing because of our lack of experience with Google Firebase.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Utilizing Google Firebase in order to share information across devices.
What I learned.
How to use Google Firebase within Android Studio.
What's next for PKNK
