Inspiration
As a UI/UX designer and frontend developer, I’ve always believed that portfolios should be more than static resumes—they should feel alive, interactive, and personal. PortXFolio was the perfect opportunity to rethink the traditional portfolio and design something that truly reflects both my skills and personality.
What it does
This portfolio showcases my work, thought process, and design philosophy through an immersive experience. It features: 1) Interactive layouts that adapt to user interaction 2) Micro animations using Framer Motion 3) A personal storytelling section 4) Optimized for performance and accessibility
How we built it
Built using:
- Next.js 14 (App Router) for routing and server-side rendering
- Tailwind CSS for utility-first styling
- Framer Motion for smooth UI animations
- Vercel for deployment Designs were created in Figma, with an emphasis on a scalable, component-based system.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing creative freedom with usability and performance
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a fully responsive, animated portfolio within the hackathon timeframe
What we learned
Animation in SSR (especially with Framer Motion) requires thoughtful handling
