Inspiration

The inspiration comes from digital design, and art world & how we experience art. In today's world, art is more important than ever. We're trying to make art more accessible to the public through our work.

What it does

We're inviting artists to create group shows, and giving them a platform to show their work in forms of NFTs & virtual exhibitions.

How we built it

We're developing custom smart contracts, minting sites, and a general platform to learn about the artists, with interviews, podcasts, profile pages, and virtual museum experiences.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest part of getting the ship of the ground is getting funding, and building community, getting the word out. We're doing everything currently with zero funding, and slowly building our community. We see that it takes time, and people have questions, that we answer the best way possible. We're in it for the long run, establishing our platform and brand slowly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've launched our first NFTs collection with 444 NFTs created by our first group of 52 artists from around the globe. We've launched our own minting site & smart contract based on the Manifold contract, and have launched a virtual museum exhibition.

What we learned

Team work makes the dream work. Only together we can achieve greatness. We made a lot of new friends since we launched Pixel Skull Art Collective, we learned so much about web3, NFTs, blockchain, etc. and most important, we made great memories for life!

What's next for Pixel Skull Art Collective

After our first launch, we'll run with the promotion of the 1st NFT exhibition until end of the year, highlighting each artist, their work, and story. In addition we're launching a pop-up event in Frankfurt Germany mid July (one weekend) to connect with our European artists & collectors in person, combining the digital & physical world into one. In addition we'll reach out to new artists to join our platform and work with us on our future exhibition. On the eco-system side, we'll work toward creating smaller digital spaces for individual artists showcasing their work (personal galleries), where we can see a future revenue stream for our group.

Philippe is a great character and awesome partner to work with. His Pixel Skull Art Collective is an inspiring and contemporary project that caught my attention immediately. It is great to see how he is able to maneuver a team of over 50 artists on several continents with a clear vision, defined target and ease. I am honored and proud to be a part of this amazing collective and to be able to contribute my tiny part.
