Inspiration

We took inspiration from the old video game asteroids

What it does

You control a ship with the goal of destroying enemy ships

How we built it

from scratch, we coded a 2d top down game on 3d unity...we made all our own spirtes and many hours were poured into more accurate firing controls for ships.

Challenges we ran into

The arcs/angles by which firing occured were off by a little and firing randomly...and weirdly dividing by two did the job

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of all the work Tim put into the controls and fell of the game, finding answers to all the problems...he put everything in the game we gave him and worked through math problems to find why things weren't how we pictured it

What we learned

We learnt about how unity works with 2d projects, as it is a 3d game engine

What's next for Pixel Pirates

It will, at least, be played and enjoyed by me as a fond memory of the work we accomplished in these last 24 hours
