Pixel Peaks Theme Park began its life as Mountain View, a simpler theme park world made entirely from primitive shapes. While the original version had charm, I knew it could become something much more—something that truly captured the magic of rides, exploration, and social play. So, with the help of my wife, I rebuilt it from the ground up. What started as Mountain View was transformed into Pixel Peaks, using tri mesh, generative AI, and the Horizon Worlds Desktop Editor to give the park a bold new identity.
Our goal wasn’t just to make it prettier—it was to create a theme park that feels alive and joyful. Pixel Peaks isn’t a game you grind through. It’s a place you explore, where you can ride coasters, take selfies, hang out with friends, and stumble on surprises. The name "Pixel Peaks" doesn’t refer to pixel art—it’s about energy, nostalgia, and fun. Think arcade lights, retro vibes, and the wonder of walking into a park made for play.
We started by revisiting every element of the original Mountain View world and rebuilding it using shapes combined into custom tri mesh models. The Desktop Editor gave us the flexibility to refine designs and scale up the world, while keeping it optimized for both VR and mobile. Generative AI played a big role too—it helped us generate textures, colors, and layout ideas that we could adapt to fit the style of the park. It saved time and opened up new creative directions that would’ve been hard to reach solo.
Of course, there were challenges. Converting from primitives to tri mesh meant rethinking a lot of structure and performance strategies. We had to keep the visuals engaging without compromising mobile playability. Ride mechanics had to be crafted with logic-based movement, since traditional animation tools weren’t available. But figuring out those solutions helped me grow as a creator—and collaborating with my wife throughout the process made it even more rewarding.
One of the best moments was seeing people interact in the space—taking photos at the entrance, hanging out by the ferris wheel, or just wandering and finding hidden corners we tucked in for fun. It made all the effort worth it.
This rebuild taught me how powerful tools like generative AI and the desktop editor can be when paired with storytelling and intentional design. It also reminded me that building worlds is always better when you share the journey. My wife helped shape the creative direction, from feedback on layout and vibe to co-designing key parts of the park experience.
Looking ahead, we’re planning to grow Pixel Peaks with seasonal events, live shows, new attractions, and interactive surprises that reward returning players without losing that laid-back, friendly feel. This transformation was just the beginning.
From a humble world called Mountain View to a vibrant, reimagined theme park, Pixel Peaks is now a place built for memories—with the help of love, creativity, and a whole lot of experimenting.
