Pixel Love

Inspiration

The state of the world has pushed me back into a young adult queer fiction mindset. I used to spend hours reading YA novels at Barnes and Noble as a kid because LGBTQIA stories were more widespread in books than film or music. In 2025 I find myself reaching for that content again as identity politics regress, while also making up for a childhood of art I rarely saw myself in.

What it does

AI generated song + music video.

How we built it

Eleven Labs for the song and OpenArt for the video using their one click story mode and editing each frame afterwards to customize it.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge with this workflow was trying to get a consistent likeness of the main character, but also being limited to only being able to train one character model...the rest we had to generate through text prompts.

What we learned

The limitations between a one click music video generation and creating each frame entirely "by hand"
