“PitStop” is a user-friendly mobile app designed to assist not-so-tech-savvy individuals in our community. This app aims to bridge the digital divide by offering easy-to-understand tutorials, troubleshooting guides, and personalized tech support to help users navigate the complexities of modern technology. Whether it's finding the nearest hospitals or restaurants, seeking assistance 24*76, or SOS, PitStop provides step-by-step assistance, making technology accessible to all.

We have built an application that is very simplistic and easy to understand, easy to use. The application is envisioned to be built in a way that any user who is completely new to the world of technology would also be able to use it with minimum or no assistance at all.

The application currently focuses on the major 5 issues that we have identified- 1) Seeking Emergency/SOS services 2) Seeking Medical assistance - This allows the user to scroll through 3 options, namely look for hospitals, look for the nearest pharmacy, and call the emergency number. 3) Looking for food and groceries - This allows the user to navigate through two options, namely grocery store and nearest restaurants. 4) Help in Navigation - This allows the user to use the navigation to reach their destination. This option allows the user to either look for a place near their location, type in the destination, or use voice recognition to look for the place. 5) Self-Learn - This allows the user to look for the workshops being organized on the delegated dates.

The main challenge was identifying the areas to work on for the pitch. Thanks to Google, we were able to identify them. The second challenge was to overcome the idea of pitching the idea of the application to be used amongst the elderly. To overcome this, we would organize workshops in various areas, to educate them and help them understand the technology, thus helping them overcome the fear and give them a sense of independence and freedom.

We are really proud of building on this idea, as we do feel them personally and understand the issues they face. Any new technology gets time to be adapted, and for a majority of the crowd, it is challenging. Trying to help build a solution to overcome this really gives us a sense of responsibility and feel that we are giving something back to society.

What's next is to identify several other issues and work on building solutions for the same.
