While I was brainstorming ideas for this project, I started to feel a little hungry, so I took a break and went to the kitchen to find something to eat. It was then that I realized I had thrown away the leftover food from lunch just an hour ago, thinking I was full. As I continued my research on the topic, I came to the realization that food waste is a significant issue that needs to be addressed.
Throughout the project, I gained valuable knowledge, particularly about the use of AI for optical character recognition (OCR). While I wasn't able to implement AI in this project, it provided me with a deep understanding of the principles necessary for pursuing this topic and creating an even better and more impactful application.
I also learned how to use Flutter and Tesseract during the project, and even managed to cook a little while browsing through some recipes. In the future, I am eager to incorporate more AI-based aspects and enhance the project further.
