PitchSnap – Real-Time Proposal Generation from Sales Calls

Inspiration

PitchSnap was inspired by my passion for helping clients and a personal desire to simplify my own workflow. I noticed that after a great sales call, there’s often a delay in sending a proposal—and that delay can kill momentum. I wanted to build something that could remove that friction. The faster you follow up, the more likely you are to close the deal. This tool not only helps me, but has the potential to help countless others in sales, consulting, and client services.

What it does

PitchSnap listens to live Zoom sales calls, transcribes the conversation in real time, identifies key client needs and pain points, and auto-generates a professional, customized proposal—ready to send before the call even ends. It allows for instant follow-up, giving sales teams an edge in closing deals faster and more effectively.

How we built it

  • Used OpenAI Whisper for real-time transcription of the conversation.
  • Applied natural language processing to analyze the conversation, extract key information, and determine what the client needs.
  • Leveraged GPT-4 to generate a clean, structured proposal based on the extracted data.
  • Created a simple UI where the salesperson can quickly view the proposal.

Challenges we ran into

  • Real-time transcription accuracy, especially with overlapping dialogue or accents.
  • Fine-tuning prompt engineering to ensure proposals felt human and aligned with the tone of the conversation.
  • Balancing automation with human review, ensuring quality without slowing down the process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Built a functional MVP that can generate usable proposals in under a minute after a call.
  • Successfully integrated multiple complex technologies: Whisper, GPT-4.
  • Created something genuinely useful that improves both the client and salesperson experience.

What we learned

  • Timing is everything—speeding up follow-up can make or break a deal.
  • AI is powerful, but must be used carefully to maintain professionalism and trust.
  • Simplicity and speed are more valuable than feature-heavy tools in high-pressure sales environments.
