Pitch Pursuit is an Arduino-based game where players "capture" randomized 6-note sequences by mapping hand distance to musical frequencies via an ultrasonic sensor. Featuring a touch-sensor kick drum and 16x2 LCD feedback, the project integrates Edge Impulse to refine gesture recognition. This ensures only intentional movements trigger notes, creating a seamless, AI-enhanced blend of spatial sensing and audio synthesis. We were inspired from the game of Piano Tiles and wanted to create a physical rendition of this game. one challenge we faced was ordering components that were shown as in stock but not available. This made us revert to different means of creating a project and caused many changes in the design. We separated the work into two main components: the speaker functionality and the game algorithm with the sensor. In the end, we integrated both codes along with a touch sensor.
