Inspiration
Game developers often have great ideas, but turning those ideas into a complete pitch with visuals, mechanics, and storytelling takes a lot of time and resources. Many indie developers struggle to communicate their vision clearly to teams, investors, or publishers. We were inspired to build a tool that acts like an AI creative director, helping creators instantly transform a simple idea into a compelling and visually rich game concept.
What it does
PitchForge is an AI-powered game concept and pitch studio. Users enter a simple idea—such as the game genre, tone, and core mechanic—and the system generates a complete game pitch. The platform produces cinematic narratives, concept art, gameplay explanations, diagrams, character concepts, and storyboards in a single interleaved storytelling flow. This allows developers to quickly visualize their ideas and present them as a professional pitch.
How we built it
We built PitchForge using Gemini’s multimodal capabilities on Google Cloud. The system generates mixed outputs that combine text and images to create a cinematic storytelling experience. The frontend dashboard allows users to generate and edit pitch sections, while the AI generates narrative, visual prompts, gameplay mechanics, and structured content that is displayed in a continuous creative stream.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was structuring AI output so that text, visuals, and explanations flow together naturally instead of appearing as disconnected sections. Another challenge was ensuring that generated content remained coherent across narrative, gameplay mechanics, and visuals while still allowing users to edit and refine the results interactively.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully built a system that can turn a simple idea into a fully developed game pitch within minutes. The platform produces cinematic storytelling with interleaved visuals and explanations, making it feel like an AI creative director guiding the process. We are especially proud of creating a tool that makes game ideation and presentation much faster and more accessible.
What we learned
Through this project we learned how powerful multimodal AI storytelling can be when building creative tools. We also learned the importance of structuring AI outputs carefully so that they feel natural, readable, and useful for real-world workflows like pitching ideas or presenting concepts.
What's next for Pitch Forge
Our next step is to expand PitchForge into a full AI pre-production studio for game development. Future features will include character design tools, gameplay system visualizers, trailer generators, collaborative editing, and exportable pitch decks. Our goal is to help developers move from idea to production-ready concept faster than ever before.
