PitchPartner: Mastering the Interrogation The Inspiration What if your phone could see your nerves before you even felt them? We built an application that doesn't just listen to your words—it watches your eyes, analyzes your posture, and hears every stutter in high-fidelity. We realized that while thousands of tools exist to help founders polish a slide deck, almost none prepare them for the psychological warfare of a high-stakes boardroom. Traditional methods—like rehearsing in front of a mirror or a friendly peer—are fundamentally flawed because they offer a "safe space." In the real world, investors are unpredictable, skeptical, and often hostile. We built PitchPartner to solve the "deer in the headlights" syndrome by creating a simulation so authentic that the first time a founder faces a real Shark, it feels like their hundredth time in the tank.

How We Built It We engineered a high-performance, multimodal feedback loop designed to monitor a founder’s physiological and verbal composure:

The Biometric Eyes: To achieve near-zero latency, we implemented MediaPipe for on-device edge vision. By tracking 3D landmarks for posture, eye-gaze, and hand gestures locally, the app "sees" nervous ticks and poor body language without the delay of cloud video processing.

The Verbal Sensor: We integrated Deepgram Nova-2 for streaming Speech-to-Text. We utilized its metadata to quantify verbal fluency, specifically tracking filler words and pace to calculate a real-time "Clarity Score."

The Reasoning Engine: We utilized the DeepSeek-V3 API to act as the "Shark’s Brain." It performs deep logical analysis of the user's pitch to identify flaws and generate aggressive, data-driven objections based on the live biometric data it receives.

The Auditory Identity: We used ElevenLabs to give our AI investors distinct, high-fidelity voices. Whether it's the cold, gravelly tone of a skeptic or the rapid-fire questioning of a tech titan, the audio is designed to maintain high-pressure immersion.

The Challenges Our primary technical challenge was Latency Orchestration. To simulate a real conversation, the round-trip time between a user finishing a sentence and the AI "Shark" interrupting had to be sub-second. We solved this by creating a custom hardware "gate" in React Native that manages concurrent streams: local MediaPipe landmark data, Deepgram transcription buffers, and ElevenLabs audio playback. Calibrating the "hostility" of the AI was also a hurdle; we had to fine-tune our system prompts to ensure the Shark was challenging enough to be stressful without becoming nonsensical.

What We Learned This project taught us that the future of AI isn't just in the cloud—it's at the Edge. By offloading vision processing to the device using MediaPipe, we proved that you can build highly sophisticated biometric tools that are both private and lightning-fast. We also learned that "stress" can be quantified. By mapping landmark coordinates and speech patterns to a scoring algorithm, we turned the abstract feeling of "confidence" into a tangible metric that can be tracked and improved.

The Solution PitchPartner replaces ineffective, passive rehearsal with a variety of active "Stress Modes." From Elevator Pitch Drills to Rapid-Fire Q&A and Objection Handling, users are forced to defend their equity against diverse AI personalities. We don't just tell you how to improve; we provide an objective Investability Score backed by biometric and verbal data. We’ve turned the most stressful 10 minutes of a founder's life into a repeatable, masterable science.
