Inspiration
As college students, we've all experienced professors clicking rapidly through slides full of dense information, words, and diagrams. Ever wished there was a way to take a picture of the slides and have them magically appear in your notes? Well now with Pique, you can!
What it does
After an onboarding process of connecting two devices together: you choose one "sender" (typically your phone) that sends the photos that you snap, and one "receiver" (typically your laptop or tablet) the device you want to store your notes/photos on. Afterwards, simply take a snap of your lecture slides and they can appear on your storage, documents, or favorite notetaking apps. We also feature customization and a sticker collection for some personalization.
How we built it
We mainly used Swift for compatibility among iOS users, and Dart (also known as Flutter) for compatibility among Windows/Android users.
Challenges we ran into
We mainly ran into compatibility issues.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our ability to work under time pressure and 4 hours of sleep.
What we learned
How to work with TCP ports and compatibility among different devices.
What's next for Pique
A way to share notes/snaps with friends or classmates to increase engagement and community.
