Piper Journal is a way to log your emotion. your emotions will get evaluated by an AI at the end of each week, then it will show you how you've progressed based on the way you write.

Inspiration

The inspiration for this project was the rise of AI, the topic 'health', and the show Silicon Valley (hence the name Piper Journal and the nice colour scheme).

What it does

Piper Journal is a Journal App that helps keep track of your health through entries. After a few entries, a text analyzer AI will give an evaluation and tips.

How we built it

Piper Journal was built using SvelteKit as a front end and back end, Supabase for a database that helps keep track of entries, and tailwindcss to help create fast and good-looking CSS.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into were back pain, exhaustion, Carpel Tunnel, and Switching Projects 3 times. First, we were gonna make a chatbot named PAL-9000 but another chatbot seemed boring, then we tried making the note-taking app with Svelte & Django but the integration was too difficult and things kept not working.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-finishing on time -functional front end and back end -beautiful code -beautiful front end -staying awake

What we learned

Improved on our git skills, js, HTML, and CSS. Learned Tailwindcss, svelte, and a bit of Django & Supabase.

What's next for Piper Journal

Buying out all of FAANG and becoming the #1 corporation, as well as releasing a mobile app.

IMPORTANT NOTE

due to Exhaustion the ai could not be embedded, the plan was to train GPT4ALL which is a free model based off ChatGPT, but we (as in me Da ? not GrimGrams he's so awesome) were rly tired because we didnt sleep and we're not good very proggramers but its a nice web app. also this was our first hackathon
