Inspiration

Using tools like Postman were always frustrating and always felt bloated to do some sample api tests too.

What it does

It is tiny yet feature packed API testing client.

How we built it

Started with some basic prompts to make alternative Postman client, I keep on adding as I go and think around the problems I faced during my time when I do API testings

Challenges we ran into

It was not always easy to exactly integrate the function as I prompted. Gradually I gave more context and it aced on implementing the feature.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Feels good seeing the final product, with a little bit of improvements and touch up and suggestions from users, we can actually develop this into full fledged testing client.

What we learned

I learned a bit of both technical parts of the app as well as the UI part of app. I feel like the main part that I learn is adding a bit of context and using the prompt as you described to your engineers is the way to get most of bolt, which was really fun

What's next for Pingy

Pingy is all about solving pain points for those who mostly does api testing. I am planning to add automated tests suites and maybe some bit of AI integrations.
