Inspiration
We aimed to create a "Pling Plong" (ping pong)game that is easily accessible and user-friendly, ensuring that individuals of all ages can enjoy it without encountering any challenges.
What it does
Experience a dynamic 2-player game where hand gestures control paddles, elevating traditional gameplay. This interactive design enhances accessibility. The intuitive use of hand movements adds a unique layer of control, redefining the gaming experience.
How we built it
We developed the game using Python with pygame for the user interface. OpenCV was employed to capture hand movements, and the Mediapipe API was utilized to enhance and complete the functionality.
Challenges we ran into
we ran through problem like we couldn't download the buttons module so we tried to compromise and create a similar code that did the same function
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Embarking on the development of a game with minimal prior knowledge. This venture involves building from scratch, and navigating through challenges to shape a unique gaming experience.
What we learned
understanding how computer vision works and using open cv and media pipe, and getting a rough idea how it works
What's next for ping pong
