Inspiration
The inspiration for this was, whenever I felt overloaded with work, I would write down what needed to be done when, and during my off time, I would play games. I though if I could make a game, I would be able to provide this same relaxation experience.
What it does
It's a pinball game controlled by A and D, where you try to keep the ball from reaching the bottom.
How we built it
I built it using the unity engine, using C# methods, as well as other physics and modeling.
Challenges we ran into
Adapting to the Unity platform was tough, since it was something I had never done before, and learning the UI and C# during this 36 hour period was certainly tough.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm certainly proud of how the game turned out, especially after just about 36 hours of work. Though unfinished, it certainly seems impressive enough.
What we learned
I learned how to use the Unity platform, as well as how to code in C#, something I was unfamiliar with before this hackathon.
What's next for PinBall
I plan on expanding the UI of the game, adding a score counter, and maybe some animations as well as a more realistic physics system.
