Pinafy

Inspiration 💡

The inspiration for Pinafy came about after noticing more product accessories getting sold in retail stores than online. From personal experience, I have bought care kits for products like shoes after the sales person was able to demonstrate how essential the kit was to getting the most out of the product. This experience is lost when it comes to online shopping which is why Pinafy was created. With Pinafy, online stores can increase their sales and customers can extend the life of the products they purchase.

What it does 🚀

This particular use case takes in information about the user, such as the weather conditions in their area using the Weather API and uses that information to suggest accessories for the product. Since it is raining in my area, Pinafy suggests water proof spray to prevent the shoes from getting water damaged. It also teaches the user how to properly use the waterproofing spray and how to otherwise care for the shoes.

What's next for Pinafy

Beta test this on several products to see how users interact with it. Replacing "How to" videos with snap lenses to show users how to care for and use a given product.
