Inspiration

About 8 million tonnes of plastic and Nylon are produce daily in Nigeria, and due to improper disposal, it find its way back into the drainage water channels, rivers, ocean and the entire environment. When this happen, it will lock the entire country into catastrophic emission levels and a plastic warned beyond saving.

What it does

We are using our customise web and App remote sensory technology and G.I.S to identify nylon and plastics based on their density and Custer on the land and river fill to help our community cub the effect of climate change by proper management of these waste.

How we built it

Our technology is focus on data analysis, satellite/remote sensing, software, artificial intelligence and XR, AR, VR imbedden in our solution. Pin App has humanitarian response/disaster prepare dense by having coastal risk information and early warning system

Challenges we ran into

Getting the necessary data for our prototype.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I came up with a team that is made up of environmental engineers, GIS expert, programmers, designers, climate expert, XRVR designers amongs others, with over 15 years of experience. We started with research of the problem statement we are addressing, then we came up with the solution of XR and GIS App solution for waste nylon and plastics identification for easy disposal/convention purposes.

What we learned

The current waste generated in cities in Nigeria is calculated as 6y.826 tones per day(TPD) at the total urban population of 106 million. The past status show absence of waste data, and abysmal institutional arrangement negatively impacted the MSW management out comes in the country. With our XR App solution, solid waste will be easily identified with our Gis/XR imbedden solution. This will help in easily identifying waste from extended reality point if view as well and make it possible for easy disposal or conversion of such waste items.

What's next for PIN App

We are still working on the XR design application and working on the code aspect for the web/App software.
